Fractional resurfacing

Laser procedure can remove brown spots, smooth out scars and wrinkles and stretch the skin during one session. The laser beam also causes long-term stimulation of collagen creation, which gives the skin a youthful appearance.

This method uses the so-called ablative lasers, such as CO2 laser and erbium laser. These lasers cause gentle evaporation of epidermis and thereby restore the skin surface.

Resurfacing may be used to treat scars caused by pox or acne and to smooth out deeper wrinkles or rough skin surface, or to remove brown spots and uneven skin colour. It is an excellent method for smoothing wrinkles around the eyes, over the bridge of the nose and on the upper lip. Using this method, you can get rid of loose skin of the eyelids, neck, décolletage and face.

The advantage of fractional laser treatment is that only certain areas of skin are treated, while skin parts remain completely unaffected. It speeds up the healing process and you can return to your normal activities sooner.

Immediately after the procedure, the skin is slightly red and a slight swelling may be present (which should disappear within 24-48 hours after the treatment). The treated location is reddened and oozes slightly; the discharge crusts. For good healing it is necessary to obey some rules. In the evening after the procedure, the treated location can be washed by gentle shower. After drying, we recommend to apply a thin layer of Cicabio cream (Bioderma) or a powder (for children - preferably Johnson's with acidic pH of 5.5, or possibly Septonex, or Framykoin). The scab, which usually begins to form during the second or third day, should be lubricated from time to time to prevent it from drying out and falling off prematurely. Healing should occur spontaneously. Never peel off scab using force, it could lead to scar formation.

As in other laser treatments, after this treatment the treated locations must be protected against sun rays and creams with a high UV protection factor (50+) must be used for at least two months.
